中曾使用不定词放在句首当主语，现代英文大多使用动名词。正确的写法如下:
Drinking too much is bad for one's health.
I think living in a foreign country is very interesting.
但是句首用it当假主语时，其后的真主语可用不定词。
It is bad for one's health to drink too much.
I think it is very interesting to live in a foreign country.
