~ 50 ORNs -> Antennal lobe -> 50 Glomerulus -> ~50 PNs -> MB & LH
50 ORNs 一对一连接 50 PNs 在不同的glomeruli
形成至少50个平行传输通道
ORN由一到两个ORGs表达,以及在glomerulus中axon汇聚 而定义
=>
ORN怎么定义?
1. 看哪个ORGs表达
2. 看axon在哪个glomerulus中converge
PNs也是要看drite在哪个glomerulus
~60 ORNs & ~3 PNs在单一个glomerulus中形成几百组synapses
重点: every ORN forms synapses with every PN to
convey the same type of plfactory information
PNs that project to the same glomerulus have indistinguishable
electrophysiological properties and olf responses.
=> seems like same glomerulus's PNs have same electrophysiological properties
and olf responses
=> Use single-cell RNASeq to establish the relationship between
1. Transcriptome
2. Neuronal cell identity
3. Development
Drosophila pupal, not in adult.
PN marker => GH146-GAL4
Astrocyte marker => alrm-GAL4
