研究方向:
High-performance environmentally friendly hybrid perovskite optoelectronics
Project Description:
Hybrid organic-inorganic halide perovskites have become a fast-rising star in
photovoltaic field owing to their unique merits including low-cost
processing, good charge transport and high light absorption. However, it is
recognized that only a tiny fraction of hybrid halide semiconductors has been
exploited, and there remain challenges regarding device performance,
lead-related toxicity, and stability. This project aims to carry out a
systematic high-throughput screening of hybrid lead-free halide
semiconductors with high ambient stability and optimal optoelectronic
performance. The outcome is expected to make a big impact on the research and
potential technologies on the manufacture of advanced hybrid materials.
申请资格:
The ideal Higher Degree Research (HDR) candidate is expected to have a
bachelor or master degree in the fields of Physics, Materials Science, or
Electrical Engineering. It is desirable that the candidate has research
experience on functional materials, particularly hybrid perovskites and
related synthesis and characterization techniques. The candidate should be
familiar with chemical solution methods and vapor processing as well as the
basic methods on evaluating the basic structural, optical, and electrical
properties. The successful candidate should show evidence of excellent
interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment. Excellent
written and verbal communication skills are expected. Although not a strict
requirement, it is desirable that the candidate demonstrates evidence to
write and publish high-quality journal papers in high-impact journals.
教授资讯:
Prof. Tom Wu is a faculty recruited in late 2017 to join UNSW through the
Strategic Hires and Retention Pathways (SHARP) scheme. He is an
internationally recognized expert on oxide and halide perovskite materials,
and his research group has published more than 260 peer-reviewed papers. Dr.
Wu has citations of more than 13,000 and a H-index of 66.
