刚好去年我在申请学校时跟我面试的Buffalo BME老师最近又写信给我
说她最近今年预计要收学生,问我还有没有兴趣到她实验室念PhD
但我今年一月已经开始在UWM念PhD了,就帮她po一下招生资讯~
因为去年Skype面试觉得老师人还不错,我们面试了快三小时XD
(如果有在Buffalo BME的同学也许可以补充资讯,她实验室应该有个台湾硕士生)
以下是就我去年跟Dr.Wu面试时了解的她的简短介绍:
她是一位中国人,英文讲得还蛮好的,不太有明显口音
她实验室去年应该是收了一位新的博士生(因为我是去年的备一XD)
九月应该毕业了一位,原先记得是三位,实验室现在应该共三位博士生
她的教学方式是会自己亲自带,所以大概不会有被放生的状况
做的研究基本上会是跟Sensors、细胞实验、微流体装置、药物传递比较相关
详情可能就有兴趣的人跟她Skype时会更清楚,蛮多当初面试的内容我有点忘记了

Looking for a PhD student
The Engineered Theranostic Lab in the Department of Biomedical Engineering
at University at Buffalo, the State University of New York (Buffalo, NY) is
looking for a highly motivated PhD student.
The student will work on the development of in vitro diagnostic biosensors
for cancer screening, early detection, treatment response monitoring and
prognosis.
The student is expected to work independently as well as in collaboration
with other group members to complete projects in a timely manner.
Minimum Qualifications
Qualified applicants should have BS or MS degree in biomedical engineering,
bioengineering, biotechnology or related fields.
Preferred Qualifications
Priority will be given to applicants with MS degree or currently in MS
program. Applicants with research experience in biosensors, microfluidic
devices and cancer diagnosis are preferred.
Required materials
Applicants must provide a curriculum vitae, a two page or less Personal
Statement, GRE, TOEFL (for international students), a copy of transcripts,
and contact information for three references.
When selected for next step, referees will be emailed to provide their
reference letters.
Start date
Immediately
Stipend support
RA or TA, minimum $24,000 per year (depending on research performance).
Annual living cost at Buffalo is ~$18,900.

$24,000 per year (up to 24 credit hours per year)
