You’re going places — new places. That’s because your Free Night Award
now takes you to more hotels than ever.
Starting on 18 August, you can redeem your Free Night Award at over 6,300
extraordinary hotels across 29 brands for up to 40,000 points.
Don’t worry — the expiry date for your Free Night Award has not changed.

In the event that an eligible Platinum Elite Member (75 eligible nights) does
not book the Free Night Award previously selected as their Annual Choice
Benefit (valued up to 48,000 Points) by 11:59 a.m. ET 17 August 2018.
the Free Night Award will change in value at that time to a value of up to
40,000 Points and will have the same expiry date. At the time of this
programme change, in general, the number of Points needed to redeem in the
Loyalty Programme will have corresponding changes.
If a member reaches 75 eligible nights between 12:00 p.m. ET 17 August 2018,
and 11:59 p.m. ET 31 December 2018, member will have the option to select a
Free Night Award valued at up to 40,000 Points as one of the available
Platinum Premier Elite 75 Annual Choice Benefits for 2018.

解读: 7/26之前拿到的SPG50免房价值最高48000 points(1:3), 8/17之前可使用,
8/18之后转换成最高价值40000 points房券.
如果是8/18之后达到merge 75晚可以获得价值40000 points房券一张.
40000分的意义就是2019新的CAT5 PEAK rate, 符合新版大礼包都用PEAK去算的概念.
