Thank you for your e-mail regarding the category change at the Sheraton
Miyako Hotel Osaka.
While reviewing your e-mail thread I do see that you found a list of changing
categories on a third party website. I also read that you originally saw this
on spg.com, but it has since been removed.
Each year, all of our hotels must have their category changes completed by
March 1, 2016. This is when all information is confirmed, and we know exactly
what changes will be happening. While reading the third party websites
information, I do see that it was posted prior to the category changes being
fully confirmed.
Mr. , I do understand you are hoping to get this hotel to change its
category back, but that is not possible. This hotel must go through a
category change due to a large list of variables, and there is no way to keep
it the Category 2 it was last year.
We hope you will consider Starwood, wherever your travels take you.
