【工作内容】
A research technician position from Professor Amy Shen‘s
Micro/Bio/Nanofluidics Unit in OIST (https://groups.oist.jp/mbnu), Okinawa,
Japan is now available. The successful candidate will join a very active
interdisciplinary group in micro/nanofabrication, microfluidics and
biosensors.
The main purpose of the project is to develop a portable devices for
localized surface plasmon resonance application. Based on our previous works
and effort, we‘ve successfully made our prototype
(https://vimeo.com/329754542/36805a4605). Now, we are going to optimize it
for further application and commercialization.
Responsibilities: The candidate will be involved in fabrication of
nanostructures for opto-electronic sensing applications. The candidate should
have cleanroom experience and electronic engineering background to develop
low power circuits and microfluidics related projects. We expect the
candidate can implement the objectives below:
1. Optimizing hardware and software of current prototype.
2. Prototype test and bug fixing.
3. Chip fabrication related to sensing and photonics, and quality check.
4. Small amount replication of prototype.
本职缺工作性质类似于大学研究所中研究助理的性质，主要工作内容为协助执行计画中的
开发、验证、测试、除错。工作地点在日本冲绳中部的冲绳科技大学。本计画主持人为微
奈米生物流体实验室的Amy Shen教授，在此计画中，我们希望针对已有的表面电浆共振晶
片技术制作一个可携式的检测设备。 在过去两年的开发历程中，我们已经完成原型机的
模型(含硬件、软件、机械结构)以及可用性的验证。我们现在希望在近期内完成此模型的
优化与改善，进一步希望实际进行应用性研究测试，预期目标如下:
1. 改良优化现有原型机的软硬件
2. 原型机及其应用的测试与除错
3. 检测芯片制作以及品质检测
4. 接洽处理小量制造或其他客制化检测

The candidate must at least hold a MSc degree in Electronic/Electric
Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Biophotonics, or
equivalent, with a solid background in experimental work and is further
expected to have some experience with working in integration of software and
hardware or MEMS fabrication.

1. Since OIST is an international university, the official language for
working and communication is English. Speaking Japanese is not necessary but
would be helpful if you can use it in daily life.
2. The position is one year minimum commitment with possibility of renewal
for another year based on performance and mutual agreement. The position will
start as early as July 1, 2019.
