I am the senior in FJU. I read Taipei Times everyday to improve my English ability. However, sometimes it's hard for me to understand some sentences even though I know what the news is mentioned about. For one who is eager to figure it out and without resources, here is my last hope.
ex: The conundrum for the DPP, Sullivian said, is that Taiwanes the identity that has been "trampled on and discarded under President Ma" is both a trump card and a liability.
I feel curious about what "both a trump card and a liability" means here
Could anyone do me a favor?
