Kobo is actively developing a new 7.8 inch e-Reader called the Kobo Aura One.
This new device will be ideal for reading e-books, manga and digital
newspapers.
The Kobo Aura One will have a competitive advantage in most countries where
it will be sold in local bookstores. It will provide a larger screen than the
Amazon Kindle Oasis or the Barnes and Noble Nook Glowlight Plus.
There aren’t any details about screen resolution, storage space, or other
features in the FCC documents. But we do know that the device supports 2.4
GHz 802.11b/g/n WiFi, has a micro USB port for charging. Additionally, this
device is manufactured by Netronix.
Kobo is also developing a new six inch e-reader and has filed the necessary
FCC paperwork, but little is known about this model either.
It looks like Kobo is going to refresh their entire e-reader portfolio within
the next six months. They will have a new flagship 7.8 inch e-reader and a
cost effective 6 inch model.xxx
