Responsibilities
Investigating, diagnosing and solving computer software and hardware problems. Takes ownership of troubleshooting and resolving issues most often relating to:
o Windows
o Apple OS/iOS
o Network connectivity
o User accounts and authentication
o Software (MS Office, Adobe Acrobat)
o Printing
o Hardware (PC, laptop, projectors)
o Email and Web
o Phones – desk and cellular phones
o Various application platforms in use by teachers and students
Installing, configuring, and updating computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, scanners and more
Travels to multiple sites (TPR branch offices and school program sites) to complete support work, interact with staff, and perform maintenance
Ships and receives equipment as needed, and coordinates with courier service as needed
Performs physical inventory of tech equipment at office sites and schools
Assists with various projects such as expanding current network system, improving efficiency of systems used by staff and students, researching new technologies to be utilized by our systems and/or programs
Track all end-user requests and problems; maintain accurate time spent, notes and other documentation related to the trouble-shooting
Qualifications
Proven experience setting up and maintaining secure LAN networks, networked office equipment, and wireless networks
Proven record of excellence and skill in providing support and customer service for end user technology needs
Quick learner who picks up new technologies easily
Ability to work flexible 8- to 10-hour shift (beginning as early as 7am, ending as late as 7pm), including weekends
Extraordinary attention to detail
Excellent written and oral communication skills (English and Mandarin)
