川普是共和党史上最pro-gay的总统候选人。
希拉蕊是看选民风向pro-gay的总统候选人。
川普以前是民主党人，立场偏左。1999年是美国LGBT运动如火如荼，国会通过军队的don'
t ask, dont tell政策。LGBT法律权益之火从此燎原。川普公开赞扬，希拉蕊公开反对。
2000年，川普说应该给美国民权法案附加禁止性取向歧视。1964的民权法案保护宗教，性
别，种族，国籍，结束了美国立国以来种族隔离政策，是人权进步的里程碑，影响深远，
但是性取向歧视并未写入法律。
“Amending the Civil Rights Act would grant the same protection to gay people
that we give to other Americans – it’s only fair,” Trump told The Advocate
in February, 2000. In the same interview, Trump said he favored “a very stron
g domestic-partnership law” that guaranteed same-sex couples equal legal righ
ts as married, heterosexual couples.
川普在2000年就赞成通过同性伴侣民事结合的法律。

"I would want the best and brightest. Sexual orientation would be meaningless,
" Trump told The Advocate. "I’m looking for brains and experience. If the bes

2008年总统选举，民调数据大多数美国人反对同性婚姻，希拉蕊同样继续公开反对，但态
度开始有所软化。

sed" though she stated she supported civil unions.
2012年，川普个人税表显示向Gay Men’s Health Crisis组织捐款1万美元，向GLSEN (Ga
y, Lesbian, & Straight Education Network)捐款2万美元。
2013年，民调显示越来越多美国人支持同性婚姻，希拉蕊首次公开表示支持，摇身一变成
了LGBT斗士。
2015年，美国最高法院将同性婚姻写入法律，此时肯塔基政府职员戴维斯拒绝给同性夫妇
颁发结婚证书，理由是与自己基督教信仰违背。虔诚的戴维斯为此锒铛入狱。正值共和党
内群雄逐鹿，各候选人纷纷表态，克鲁兹就强烈支持戴维斯忠于信仰。
对此川普说："You have to go with it. The decision's been made, and that is the
law of the land." 既然法律允许同性婚姻，就应该依法办事。
