Hello everyone,
weekly Wargaming radio show “Developer Hour”, where developers are talking
about various matters, is here again. Today’s topic is “new motion physics”
with community managed Roman Tabolin and project manager Roman Kunin. The
show was kindly transcribed by VK WoT Express community.
- developers will balance new “camping spots” (lit. “crow nests”), that
appear with the introduction of new physics. If such a spot is found to be
too imbalanced, it will be fixed immediately.
开发组会开始平衡因为新物理引擎而产生的新龟点,如果太OP就会修正。
- there will be several rounds of the physics test
还会有好几轮物理测试。
- the most popular tanks of the current test are ELX and AMX-13/90
测试中最受欢迎的是ELC跟1390。
- graphic fixes of current collision models are not planned for near future
近程未来没有计画修正外观上的碰撞模型错误。
- new motion physics should minimize the amount of cases, where you get stuck
on terrain features
新物理引擎应该能够降低地形使玩家无法动弹的情况。
- a tank will not tip on its roof when drifting (unless you are on a heavy
slope and other conditions are met)

- physical models of tanks now have a whole bunch of new parameters under the
new system

- “ground friction” is currently being set up, developers are working on it

- if you destroy enemy tank by turning it on the roof, you will be granted a
kill. If multiple tanks help in tipping the opponent on the roof, the kill
will go to the person who touched him last
如果你造成一名敌人翻肚,会记你一个击杀数,若是多人造成的翻肚击杀,会由最后
一个触碰到该车的玩家获得击杀。
- it is now possible to “sit a tank on its belly” (SS: as in the terrain
touching the bottom of the tank while the tracks are in the air and the tank
cannot move)
现在有机会让玩家的车“坐在地上”(SS:若是玩家的底盘碰到地面而履带悬空
,车会不能动。)
- if a tank falls on another tank, it will instead of one large damage will
work as “ticks”

- it was also possible very early on for tiny tanks to actually drive UNDER
large tanks, but it’s not possible for now
很早以前那些很小的车可以开到大车下面去,现在不行了
- autoban system will be fixed to fit new physics

Hello everyone,
welcome to the third part of the “Wargaming Meeting” posts, where the
Insider tells us what happens behind closed doors. The greetings of the day
go to French community manager, who not so long ago ranted about FTR on some
stream.

- getting back to the “survey” part from last time: Wargaming indeed wants
to find out, what is the minimum viable configuration, below which the owners
don’t pay for premium and other ingame goods (eg. the game is no longer
enjoyable for such weak computers).
先前发放的问卷显示WG想要知道那些不课金的玩家,最低的电脑配备到哪里。
The Insider also confirms the upcoming “lunar mode”, with the “lunar
Chaffee” having following description:
关于月球模式的相关讯息:
A lunar combat tank designed to fight in the vacuum of space with 1/6 Earth
normal gravity! Equipped with a specially modified chassis that can survive
large drops with little damage and armor designed to reflect incoming laser
blasts.
月球战斗会在地球的1/6重力与真空的情况下进行,而玩家会使用经过特殊设计的底盘
来因应可能的重落地以及反射雷射武器。
Yep, the Chaffee will apparently have a laser gun, the map name is for Moon
River. This mode was approved for Xbox, it’s possible it will appear on PC
as well (would be strange not to).
而先前介绍的霞飞会配备雷射炮,地图名称叫做月河。确定会在XB上面推出,也有机
会在PC上推出。
Just a few tidbits about World of Warplanes too:
- WoWp will have its own enhanced CW mode
WOWP会有增强版的公会战。
- MM in WoWp is “frozen” due to very low playerbase, with the last patch
bringing more issues than ever. The numbers are very low (some hours there’s
only 500 people playing on NA specifically).
WOWP的MM娘坏了,因为玩的人太少,有些时候几乎只有五百人在线。
- Persha studio is still in charge of the project, but it will have an
entirely different approach, staff changes, etc. despite what Gunlion claims.
If that doesn’t work, WG will change the studio completely this time and
reassign people from other offices. Gunlion (whoever that is, some WoWp CM?)
is not happy about these leaks either
负责WOWP的工作室仍持续负责该项目,但运作方式会完全不同。然而尽管Gunlion这样

- a different damage model will be introduced (still hitpoint based and with
component durability) – however, the bullet mechanics will be reviewed

- maximum altitude and climb rate changes, changes to the login system (there
’s a bug making players unable to connect sometimes) and other smaller ones
