If you had never roller-skated and you sat rink-side watching proficient
skaters whirl around the ring, they might make it look easy and like a lot of
fun. But if you were to put on skates for the first time and get out there,
you would quickly realize that there is a lot more to it. You need to develop
balance, the right muscles, and command of the way the skates operate. It
takes courage and determined practice. If you are starting some new routine
now, it may not be as easy as it seems at first. But keep in mind that with
practice and determination you can make it work and maybe even become as
proficient as the best ones in the field.
