Job description
Networking Software Engineer, Protocols
VANET has developed next generation TCP/IP solutions to improve the performance of P2P data network. We are looking for network software engineers with experience in embedded network protocol development and system programming.
Responsibilities:
* Systems programming
* System Integration; integrating software packages into our Linux-based platform * Designing and conducting tests to meet strict requirements of wireless carriers
Requirements:
* BS in computer science or equivalent. MS or PhD is a plus
* Exceptional C/C++ programming skills
* Experience designing and developing multiple L3 and L4 networking protocols
* Experience developing and releasing networking products
* Design, develop, and execute test plans for networking features, equipment, and systems
* Working with test automation tools
* Experience with cellular carriers is a plus
*Works under only general direction; independently determines and develops approach to solutions * Experience with compression software is a plus
* Overall Experience: 5+ years or equivalent experience
