解多益的题目有个概念很重要就是你要知道哪个是主动哪个是被动
做动作的人是谁接受动作的人又是谁
campaign这一类的选举活动跟我们地方政府the local government很明显的一定是后者sponsors前面嘛
好这是第一个你需要厘清的概念
第二个就是这边是用所谓的形容词子句
又或者叫做关系子句
The campagin (which) the local government is sponsoring had a negative effect on the area.
这边就是用了关代可以省略的概念而已
而which the local government is sponsoring这个就是所谓的形容词子句/关系子句
which + S + V = the girl "whom" I like. 那个我喜欢的女孩
which + V = the girl who sweeps off my feet. 那个让我动心的女孩
上面是两个形容词子句的公式跟结构
你可以看出都有我们的V
可是sponsoring这个是动名词在文法上他是名词词性喔(形容它仍然用副词就是)
也就是N 故不能选sponsoring必须要选有be动词+ving的进行式
你讲得可以把v变成ving是因为我们的主格在后面没有被动含意的时候才有办法省略喔
the girl sweeping off my feet is Lisa.
the girl who sweeps off my feet is Lisa.
两句都对
可是the girl whom I like因为是有被动含意的(做出喜欢动作的人是"I" 接受喜欢的是"the girl")
所以不能简化成the girl whom I liking
以你的例子来说就是sponsor的是the local government不是用形容词子句形容的the campaign所以不能改ving
还有你问说为什么不能写The local government sponsors/sponsored the campaign.
可以啊没人说不行可是题目就不是这样问你啊XD
