Distant Worlds(DW)最近推出了新包装：
Distant Worlds: Universe(DW:U)
包含主程式、三个旧的资料片* ，以及最新资料片Universe。
(*Return of the Shakturi, Legends, Shadows)
此外，也开始在steam 平台上贩售，不过只卖一整包，资料片不分售。
制作公司很有诚意地在游戏发售后两周内，做了两次改版。
