You have certain expectations of someone in your life, partially based on
what you have come to believe about them, and partly on what you want them
to be. You may be narrowing down the relationship you could have with this
person and limiting its potential. Instead of limiting or restricting what
this relationship could become if your walls weren't up, just encourage
the individual to show their true colors and simply be themselves. You may
find that the person you discover is far more interesting and exciting
than the one you only thought you knew.
