Malcolm Brogdon did not like the playing style of the Indiana Pacers under
former head coach Nate McMillan.
McMillan was fired a few days ago, after the Pacers got swept by the Miami
Heat in the first round of the playoffs.
“Brogdon, league sources with direct knowledge of the situation tell
IndyStar, was the most outspoken and unhappy player among a core group of
four with an isolation-heavy offense that couldn’t win a game in a 4 vs. 5
matchup for the second year in a row,” J.Michael of the Indianapolis Star
reports.
The Pacers went 183-136 in the regular season under McMillan, who spent four
years with the team. However, they only won three games in the playoffs and
got swept in 2019 and 2020.
Brogdon finished his first season with Indiana, averaging 16.5 points, 4.9
rebounds and 7.1 assists.
