Development of high-throughput light-sheet microscope
integrated computer vision and deep learning
PhD Positions:
We are developing versatile high-throughput imaging systems for personalized
medicine research, and looking for passionate PhD students to join our team.
The project integrates state-of-the-art light sheet microscopy,
computer vision, and deep learning image restoration.
The project will be conducted in the Digital Health Center, Berlin Institute
of Health (Charité Universitätsmedizin) under the supervision of
Dr. Christian Conrad and Prof. Dr. Roland Eils.
Our lab provides a highly multidisciplinary research environment and
unique expertise across computational biology, transcriptomics, computer
vision, deep learning, and advanced microscopy.
The PhD candidates have the opportunity to work in (I) designing and
constructing light-sheet microscopes, (II) software interfacing for
instrument control, (III) imaging and restoration by machine learning.
Prerequisites: Knowledge in optics/microscopy, programming (Labview, Python,
C++, Matlab etc.) are preferred; Interests in system
biology of human diseases.
