moves:
‧ Placed INF Jon Berti on the 10-day injured list with a left calf strain.
‧ Selected INF Kevin Smith (#74) to the active roster.
‧ Transferred INF DJ LeMahieu to the 60-day injured list.
(2) @Yankees: Today, the Yankees transferred the rehab assignment of
INF DJ LeMahieu from High-A Hudson Valley to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
(3) @GJoyce9: Another positive step for Gerrit Cole: He threw two 15-pitch
innings in a simulated game against Yankees minor leaguers at the complex in
Tampa today, per the AP. Likely to face hitters again next week before
potentially starting rehab assianment.
(4) @ktsharp: This is the 11th time a Yankee starter has pitched at least 6
scoreless innings.
That's the most in MLB.
It's also the same number of times the Yankees did that the ENTIRE season last
year.
