roster moves:
‧ Returned from rehab and reinstated LHP Carlos Rodón (#55) from the 60-day
injured list.
‧ Transferred LHP Nestor Cortes to the 60-day injured list.
‧ Placed INF/OF Jake Bauers on the 10-day injured list (retroactive to 7/6)
with a left rotator cuff contusion.
‧ Recalled INF/OF Franchy Cordero (#33) from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
(2) @Yankees: Following tonight’s game, the Yankees optioned RHP Deivi García
to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
(3) @MaxTGoodman: Greg Allen (hip flexor) is taking BP today, doing defensive
work. He’ll ramp up in baseball activities over the All-Star break and begin
a rehab assignment shortly thereafter, per Aaron Boone.
Willie Calhoun (quad) is a little behind Allen.
(4) @BryanHoch: Aaron Boone was asked why the Yankees promoted Franchy Cordero
over Estevan Florial (21 HR, .992 OPS at AAA). Boone said that Florial not
being on the 40-man roster plays a part, but that Florial "
