(1) @Yankees: Prior to tonight’s game, the Yankees made the following
roster moves:
‧ Reinstated OF Aaron Judge from the 10-day I.L.
‧ Placed INF Oswald Peraza on the 10-day I.L. (retro to 5/6) with a right
ankle sprain.
‧ Recalled RHP Greg Weissert from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
(2) @Yankees: Following tonight’s game, the Yankees optioned LHP Nick Ramirez
to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
(3) @MaxTGoodman: Carlos Rodón received his cortisone injection today. He’ll
resume throwing this weekend if all goes according to plan. He’s shut down
from doing anything for the next 48 hours.
(4) @MaxTGoodman: Aaron Boone says Oswald Peraza has been doing well recently,
but still has “apprehension” using his ankle on defense, ranging side to
side.
This IL stint gives him time to knock this injury out and get over the
“final hump” and any residual feelings.
(5) @MaxTGoodman: Josh Donaldson has another week of “intense baseball
activities” before starting a rehab assignment from his hamstring strain, per
Aaron Boone.
(6) @MaxTGoodman: I. Hamilton's last 10 games:
- 0.63 ERA (1 ER in 14 1/3 innings)
- 16 strikeouts
- Opponents are hitting .089/.163/.111 (4-for-45)
Hamilton was a non-roster invitee at spring training this year. Before 2023,
he had a 4.45 ERA in his career (with ~plenty~ of adversity).
