‧Placed LHP Zack Britton on the 60-day IL with left shoulder fatigue.
‧Signed RHP Jacob Barnes (#68) to a Major League contract and selected him
to the active roster from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
(2) @BryanHoch: Clay Holmes was unavailable with a right shoulder strain.
He recently had an MRI and an injection. Boone said he hopes Holmes will be
ready for the ALDS.
(3) @BryanHoch: Frankie Montas started playing catch today. Aaron Boone
wouldn’t rule out ALDS, but said Montas will more likely be a bullpen option
for a potential ALCS.
(4) @MaxTGoodman: Oswaldo Cabrera is now hitting .328 (20-for-61) with
16 R, 5 HR, 5 2B, 14 RBI, 9 BB and 3 SB in his last 17 games.
(5) @MaxTGoodman: Giancarlo Stanton is 1-for-21 with 13 strikeouts in his last
five games.
He's 4-for-27 (.148) since his walk-off grand slam and 11-for-77 (.143) with
