implement a pitch clock and ban defensive shifts starting in 2023, sources
tell ESPN.
It is official: 15-second clock with bases empty, 20 with runners on; and
two fielders on each side of 2B bag, both feet on the dirt.
2.1. @JeffPassan: The vote among the competition committee was not unanimous.
Players voted against the pitch clock and the shift restrictions.
The vote for larger bases was unanimous.
(3) @BryanHoch: Josh Donaldson is expected to return from paternity leave
tomorrow.
(4) @BryanHoch: CF Harrison Bader could begin a minor league rehab assignment
on Sunday, Yankees manager Aaron Boone said.
4.1. BryanHoch: Bader could go to @SOMPatriots. Boone said Bader will need
about a week’s worth of games to be big league ready.
(5) @BryanHoch: Yankees had Oswaldo Cabrera work out at first base today.
Boone said it could be an option either to fill in or potentially in
