Lakers’ Luka Doncic Given Concerning Verdict by Ex Head Coach

Luka Doncic should be granted an “Extraordinary Circumstances Challenge” so
he can be eligible for All-NBA and other end-of-season honors.

Doncic, who appeared in 64 games before sustaining a hamstring strain, is
technically ineligible for All-NBA because he didn’t meet the 65-game
threshold. However, the Slovenian plans to file an appeal with the league,
noting that he missed two games in early December to travel to Slovenia for
the birth of his second child.

Addressing the controversy on the “Zach Lowe Show” on Thursday, Van Gundy
said that Doncic does not deserve preferential treatment.

“The whole thing with his wife having a baby, Come on!” Van Gundy said of
Doncic.

“If that were the only games he missed, fine. Everybody has missed games for
personal reasons. We either have a line, or we don’t. If we have a line,
then let’s stick to it. He didn’t make it.”

Further to Van Gundy’s point, Doncic would have received an automatic
exemption had he played in at least 85% of the Lakers’ 77 games at the time
of his injury. However, since he appeared in 83% of the games, he missed the
cut for a CBA-granted exemption.

“There is an exception for players who reach 62 games and play at least 85%

Unlike Van Gundy, Hall of Famers Carmelo Anthony and Tracy McGrady believe
Doncic is worthy of All-NBA honors and should be granted an injury exemption.

得上 All-NBA 的荣誉，且应该获得伤病豁免。
“The Extraordinary Circumstances Challenge is a thing, right? Where they get
an arbitrator, and they come in and see if this warrants a change,” McGrady
said “NBC on Prime” telecast last weekend.

“I think he’s eligible for that. He should be able to get those two games
back.”

Besides Doncic, other NBA superstars like Cade Cunningham, Anthony Edwards,
LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Giannis Antetokounmpo have been deemed
ineligible to make the cut for an All-NBA team this year.

我个人是觉得规则就要遵守，毕竟都订出来了
82场给你17场的空余了
你们要压在65场左右的出赛
那球队教练团要自己去掌握球员整个赛季的体能跟出场状况吧
你自己还因为技术犯规被禁赛一场
那也是可以避免的不是吗
要不CC也去抗议一下
谁差个一二场都都来抗议一下？
没有人想因为受伤就失去资格
但伤病也是实力的一部份吧

出席率本来就该列入考虑，改60场就有人会5X场拗你65场大概缺席率20%，每5场就有1场不在伤病难免 事假可以接受，但16次技术犯规？

生小孩 甚至有亲人丧礼的话我觉得都该豁免

要奖项就丢脸一点 上场去中场边坐个20分钟 其他人4打5撑一下就过了

我觉得规定本来就可以修正调整，申请没什么问题，本来就要经过越多的讨论互动，规格才会越合适适用跟劳资协商的概念差不多有规定就不给讨论空间，那叫极权

申诉不也是规则的一部分

我觉得要比照所得税新增扣除额，有老婆跟小孩的可以多缺席几场，有父母及直系亲属要照顾的也可以多缺席几场

就只有某个颜色的球迷特别多问题

他今年是值得第一队 但说真的因为抱怨被禁赛 最后差一场也有点活该就是了

我觉得申诉应该没道理过 但之后肯定会改65场硬性规定改更弹性 一开始设65大概是希望球星保证出场次数卖票 但现在如果换来的是健康问题季后赛上不了场完全就是因小失大伤了那么多球星就是告诉你这不可行了 看总出场时间才是最合理的
