Carmelo Anthony explains why he values his gold medals over an NBA
championship
“Three gold medals, four medals for me is bigger than the NBA championship
because I understand the impact of it. Not everybody wins a gold medal, not
everybody wins a silver or a bronze. It’s a handful of athletes from our
country that we can say has won medals let alone gold medals. When you have
that perspective that’s a whole another perspective. Yeah of course I want an
NBA championship we all do, yeah but it’s a lot of sh*t that have to go down
accordingly in order for you to win an NBA championship, let alone multiple
championships.”
之前有记者问甜瓜愿不愿意拿奥运奖牌换一个NBA总冠，而瓜哥的答案是否定。
瓜哥解释了原因：
“对我来说，三、四面金牌是比NBA总冠军更为重要的，因为我了解他的影响力。
不是每个人都能赢得金牌、银牌或是铜牌。我们国家只有少数的运动员能赢得奖牌，更不用说金牌了。
当你有了这样的观点时，就会有完全不同的看法。
当然我想赢得NBA总冠军，但要赢得一次NBA总冠，必须要有各种天时地利人和，更别说赢得数次了。”
