shoes, to be what he is, to have the accolades, and the success he's had, and
then to just say: "I'll come off the bench." and just take all the pressure off
everything, like. I don't think that he got enough credit for what he did and
the way he did. And then, to see the results. They turned their shit around
and they hooping, and now where's all that talk?

There were far deeper issues than just Westbrook with that Lakers team, most
of which got patched (at least temporarily) by the players they got in return

Anddddd the most important part that everyone seems to forget conveniently is
that he was being paid $48 fucking million dollars to be inefficient,
turnover prone, and promised 30+ minutes a game.
He’s obviously worth the $4M and then some, but not being paid more than
every guard in the NBA lol

Sure, but that's not Westbrook's fault. He got paid at a time that it made
sense and LA traded for him under that contract. If the contract is such an
obvious albatross then it was pretty irresponsible to trade him. They're
criticizing the wrong guy in Westbrook's tenure at LA. It's the GM that
constructed a team that didn't work.
