Redick shared a vivid memory from his two-month stint with the Dallas Mavericks during the 2020-21 season.
The Mavericks were in Memphis and then-head coach Rick Carlisle called a timeout. As Redick described it, Doncic was “mumbling a bunch of words and it’s clearly out of anger.”
“Rick was like, ‘Would you guys stop being babies?’ And you go, ‘Why don’t you tell Luka to stop being a baby.’”
As Porzingis requested, Carlisle told Luka to stop “being a baby,” Redick said. The two could’ve communicated better.
Redick分享他2020-21赛季在达拉斯独行侠两个月的回忆。当时独行侠作客灰熊，时任总教练Rick Carlisle叫了暂停，而Luka正在碎嘴，显然是不太高兴。

What went wrong for Porzingis in Dallas?
“It’s a mix of many things. Maturity, for sure. I’m talking about what I could have done better. It’s many things, majority on my part for sure,” Porzingis said. “And then I wasn’t that much into analytics and numbers. If somebody I think at that stage of my career presented it to me the right way and said, ‘This is what we need to do, this is what we need from you, you’re going to be way more effective doing this,’ like kind of explaining it to me better, I think that would have made a
difference a little bit.”
Porzingis在达拉斯到底发生了什么事？

Porzingis focused on maturity and communication during his chat with Redick. And Porzingis said wished that he had been more receptive when the Mavericks needed him in a different role.
When Porzingis was asked to take a back seat during a playoff series, he didn’t like it and would stand in the corner out of spite.
“On purpose, I will not move from this corner,” Porzingis said behind a soft chuckle. “It’s not a good feeling to play with.”
在这次的访谈中，Porzingis聚焦在成熟度和沟通，也希望自己在独行侠需要他担任不同角色时可以更接受一些。
