eal-For-Nikola-Vucevic
The Chicago Bulls are not going to kick off a rebuild this summer, according to
VP of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas. The Bulls are hopeful that Lonzo
Ball can make it back on the court, and they'd like to extend Nikola Vucevic's
contract.
Chicago is looking at a three-year extension with Vucevic. The two-time All-Star
has been with the Bulls for two-and-a-half seasons now. Vucevic has remained du
rable, playing in 73 and 82 games in his two full seasons, while averaging 17.6
points and 11 rebounds per game in each season.
Vucevic projects to be one of the top available center options, should he reach
unrestricted free agency. The Bulls would have a hard time replacing the 12-year
veteran, because they won't likely have the cap space or trade assets to do so.
