Michael Jordan had a terrific career full of great stories that will be hard
to forget. Further, we learned about one of the best anecdotes of MJ during
his playing days. On Thursday, former Blackhawks star Jeremy Roenick appeared
on WSCR’s McNeil & Parkins Show where he was asked if he ever gambled with
Jordan while on the golf course.

Roenick revealed he and Jordan went golfing when the Blackhawks had a day
off, but the Bulls had a game that night against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Roenick assumed the day was done after winning a “couple thousand (dollars),
” off Jordan, but that was only the beginning.

recalled Jordan saying. “We played a round, I beat him for a couple thousand
and got ready to leave … Now, the Bulls are playing that night. They played
Cleveland that night. I’m thinking he’s leaving, it’s 10 o’clock. He
goes, ‘No, let’s go play again.’

Now we’ve been drinking all afternoon and he’s going from Sunset Ridge to
the stadium, to play a game. I’m messing around. I’m like, “I’m gonna
call my bookie. All the money you just lost to me, I’m putting on Cleveland.

and I have more than 40 [points].’ I’m like, ‘Done.’ Son of a gun goes
out and scores 52 and they win by 26 points or something.”

Roenick stated Jordan would go on to score 52 points against the Cavaliers
and the Bulls won by 20+ after the GOAT played 36 holes and downed “maybe 10
Bud Lights.”
Roenick说，MJ在打了36洞高尔夫跟灌了大概10罐啤酒后的那天晚上，面对骑士队，拿下52
分，最后公牛赢了20分以上。
This 1988 game against the Cavs seems to be the one Roenick is talking about.
MJ was 20-31 shooting on the night and a perfect 12-12 on free throws.
