LeBron James and Drake discussed the right time to retire

LeBron James turns 34 in December, and he’s still the best basketball player
on the planet. But he knows that won’t always be the case.
LBJ到12月就满34岁了，但他仍旧是目前地表最强篮球员，但是他知道那不会是永远的。
In a preview for the second episode of LeBron’s HBO series, The Shop, the
Lakers star shared a discussion with rapper Drake about knowing when to call
it quits. Drake said that the dilemma was the biggest concern of his career,
which led to some key advice from LeBron.
在HBO节目"The Shop"第二集，LBJ跟饶舌歌手Drake讨论到何时该退休。Drake说最大的难
题在于对他的事业的关心，而LBJ给了一些忠告。

Drake said:

“I think maybe one of my biggest concerns in my career is just to figure out
how to exit gracefully. I’ve watched people overstay their welcome, and I
just don’t ever want to be that guy that’s addicted to the feeling of
victory, addicted to the emotion of people digesting something that they
love. And get to a point where I’m feeding them something and they’re just
like, ‘Yeah ….”
“对于我的事业，几个考量之一是何时该优雅的退场。我看过一些人错过了退场时机，我
不想成为那种对成功的感觉上瘾的人，对于人们对他们喜爱的东西有吸收的情感上瘾，会
到了一个状况是我做的东西是他们只会说，‘喔..’”
To which LeBron responded:
对此，LBJ回应：
“What helps with the gracefully bowing out is having people around you that
were there from the Day 1. That seen you from the beginning … You can’t
have mother(expletive) around you that don’t keep it honest with you, that
don’t keep it real with you. You gotta have someone to tell you like, ‘Yo,
either accept a lesser role or you gotta tank.'”
“如果找到怎样可以帮助自己优雅的退场的方式，是要有从一开始就在你身边的人...不可
能旁边没有可以对你诚实的人，不可能旁边没有帮你看清事实的人，你要有个人可以跟你
说，“嘿~~要嘛接受自己不是主角，不然就得接受事实。’”
The full episode featuring LeBron with Drake, Maverick Carter, Ben Simmons,
Victor Oladipo, Mo Bamba And Elena Delle Donne airs Friday on HBO.
