BRANDON ROY NAMED 2017 NAISMITH NATIONAL HS COACH OF THE YEAR
Former NBA player Brandon Roy was named the Naismith National High School
Coach of the Year on Monday, according to NaismithTrophy.com.
Roy led Seattle's Nathan Hale High School to a perfect 29-0 record this
season. His star player, Michael Porter Jr., was named the Naismith National
High School Player of the Year.
前NBA球星 Brandon Roy 荣获2017 Naismith年度最佳高中教头的肯定
而球队阵中头号主将 Michael Porter Jr.则是被选为Naismith本年度高中层级的最佳球员
这也是第三次由同一所高中的总教练以及球员包办两项大奖
前面两次分别为2010年的Satch Sullinger、Jared Sullinger (Northland High School)
以及去年的Steve Baik、Lonzo Ball (Chino Hills High School)
Brandon Roy 在2016年六月起开始执掌西雅图Nathan Hale高中的兵符
这所学校在先前的球季总共只赢了三场比赛
但是在Roy的带领之下，今年赛季球队竟然创下29胜0败的完美战绩
而且最终还顺利拿下 Washington 3A state 的冠军金杯，真的是相当不简单
主力球员 Michael Porter Jr. 本季平均 34.8分 13.8篮板
也是相当被外界看好的潜力球员，非常有机会能够进入NBA的最高殿堂
接下来他即将前往华盛顿大学就读
