Rumors: Lakers interested in Omer Asik, Jeremy Lin trade?
After the Houston Rockets decided to let forward Chandler Parsons become a
restricted free agent, their plans for the future became clear.

The Rockets will attempt to clear cap room, sign or trade for a star like
New York Knicks’ forward Carmelo Anthony or Minnesota Timberwolves’ power

Rockets are confident they can get a deal done, but know it won’t be easy.

Regarding that Lin/Asik scenario, I think you were asking about the Lakers
also adding the 7th pick in the deal which I absolutely do not see happening.
If anything, they could look to purchase additional picks at the end of the
1st round. For the record, Lin/Asik would be a nice package to pick up if
they were able to do it without touching that lottery pick. Although neither
are All Star players, each can effectively serve as starters and are expiring
contracts at the end of the year.

enough space, averaged 5.8 points and 7.9 rebounds per game in 48 games last
season. Lin went for 12.5 points, 4.1 assists, 2.6 rebounds and 1.0 steals
per game in 71 games.
