David Vanterpool interviewed for the Philadelphia 76ers' head coach opening
on Monday and is a serious candidate, according to sources.
Vanterpool is receiving legitimate consideration.
Brett Brown and Jay Larranaga are among the coaches who have made strong
impressions in the process.
Vanterpool has made a strong impression in his first season as assistant
coach for the Portland Trail Blazers.
