New Orleans has shown strong interest in acquiring Omer Asik in exchange for Ryan Anderson.
Anderson seemed like he was untouchable a few days ago with the deal involving the Kings and Tyreke Evans, so it's a little surprising to see that they'd look to deal him for Asik. Anderson led the NBA in 3-pointers in 2011-12 and was second last year behind Curry, so he would help create more space for Dwight Howard and James Harden to operate. The Pelicans could really use a center and Asik would have a similar role as last year.
