Just In: The Dallas Mavericks will waive-and-stretch Olivier-Maxence Prosper,
league sources told @hoopshype. The former 24th pick of the 2023 NBA Draft is
being waived to make room for Dante Exum and duck the second apron. The 23-year
-old is expected to draw free agency interest

The issue with a trade, as discussed all week on @DLLS_Mavs, was that Dallas
almost certainly would’ve been forced to attach one of its two tradeable
second-round picks to Prosper to move him. This was a more palatable option
and sends the former first-rounder to free agency.
