U.S. tariffs on China will total 104% if Trump’s latest threat takes effect,
a White House official confirmed to CNBC’s Megan Cassella.
Trump announced blanket 34% tariffs on Beijing last week, which come on top
of existing 20% duties on Chinese imports.
Trump’s latest tariff action would slap an additional 50% tariff on Chinese
goods, unless China drops its 34% retaliatory tariff on the U.S.
