Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku bad vs Valencia
Man Utd vs Valencia was another dismal night for Jose Mourinho and his
signings Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku were terrible.
David de Gea - 6
Rarely called into action despite Valencia threatening down namesake
Antonio's flank.
Antonio Valencia - 3
Porous in defence and pathetic in attack; he was so bad Matteo Darmian would
have been a worthy substitute.
Chris Smalling - 6
Made the odd key interception as Valencia had some joy down the right but
otherwise limited to standard and steady defending.
Eric Bailly - 7 (还好没受伤, 吓死
Constantly on edge but he had the measure of Valencia strikers Michy
Batshuayi and Rodrigo. A successful return to the XI.
Luke Shaw - 6
Eager in attack but did not provide a noteworthy contribution as he was
paired with Marcus Rashford.
Nemanja Matic - 5
Exposed by his fellow midfielders but vigilant. He does need to be more
proactive in attack and is slipping behind other defensive midfielders.
Paul Pogba - 5
Irked some United fans on one occasion where he was robbed of the ball. There
was the odd world-class glimpse but this was another feckless performance
that is standard for Pogba.
Marouane Fellaini - 5
United were hampered by the beanpole midfield trio and Fellaini did not make
the most of his advanced role.
Marcus Rashford - 6
Showed positive intent down the left but never put Cristiano Piccini in
jeopardy whenever he received the ball.
Alexis Sanchez - 3
Looks shot. Rightly substituted and there were some cheers when his number
appeared. Then had the gall to walk off until told otherwise.
Romelu Lukaku - 3
His place in the side has to be questioned. Missed costly chances this season
but against Valencia he was embarrassingly static and his touch worse than
usual.
Subs
Anthony Martial - 6
Nearly won a penalty.
