According to @alexspeier, there were some rumblings this afternoon that Marcelo
Mayer had been traded to the Diamondbacks.
“Officials with both the Red Sox and Diamondbacks were baffled.”
Craig Breslow had somebody reach out to him and say, ‘Is it accurate to say you
traded Marcelo [Mayer] to the Diamondbacks?’ ”
Craig’s response“There’s some things that you see, and you’re like, ‘OK, th
at is not accurate, but I at least understand where it came from.’ And then the
re are things that are just blatantly false and don’t deserve a ton of attentio
n, and this falls into that category.”
Marcelo Mayer was asked about this rumor and he said “I’m here to play basebal
l, not to read Twitter,”

对此Breslow 回应：

于后者。”
至于传闻主角Mayer 本人被问到这件事时，则相当淡定地回答：
“我是来打棒球的，不是来看Twitter的”
