Marlins president: Volquez to undergo Tommy John surgery
Hours after it was revealed that Miami Marlins right-hander Edinson Volquez
would be shut down for the rest of the season due to left knee tendinitis,
Marlins president of baseball operations Michael Hill revealed to Joe Frisaro
of MLB.com that Volquez has a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his elbow and
is scheduled to under Tommy John surgery.
