Russell Wilson wants to attend Texas Rangers' spring training

Super Bowl MVP Malcolm Smith is going to Disney World, but Seahawks QB
Russell Wilson is headed to spring training.
So says his baseball agent, Mark Rodgers, despite the former second

Wilson was selected by the Texas Rangers in the Rule 5 draft in December
after the Rockies, his original team, left him unprotected. The Rangers
position players open camp on Feb. 19, and Wilson is reportedly interested
in attending.

Surely the Seahawks aren't eager to have the future of their franchise
(NFL?) step into the box and face a few fastballs, but Wilson will likely
visit the Rangers as more of a motivational ploy, possibly to give them
tips on winning the franchise's first world championship.
Perhaps he'll take some grounders at second or take a few cuts in the
batting cage, but after two years in the Rockies' system – and a career
.229 batting average
