Strange things always seem to happen when Manny Ramirez is involved, even now
that he is over in Taiwan continuing his playing career. Thankfully, this
latest incident only tangentially involved him. While calling Ramirez’s
eighth home run of the season, the TV announcer has what is arguably the
baseball call of the year: ”This ball is long gone, just like the
ex-girlfriend who will never return!”
