The Atlanta Braves placed left-handed reliever Eric O'Flaherty
on the disabled list yesterday due to a strained elbow.
David O'Brien of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution later reported
that O'Flaherty was dealing with a UCL tear,
an injury that usually requires Tommy John surgery.
This is another huge blow for the Braves,
as their once vaunted bullpen now looks like a potential weak link.
Before O'Flaherty's injury was announced, Atlanta had already placed
Jonny Venters, Jordan Walden, Luis Ayala and Cristhian Martinez on the DL.
