K-pop fans have taken to Twitter, voicing out that they think it’s racist to keep bands such as BTS from competing against other top pop acts.
K-pop粉丝在推特上发声，他们认为阻止诸如BTS等团体与其他顶尖流行乐指标竞争，
是种族主义者的表现。
BTS Army has flooded the social media platform to show their outrage and disappointment for MTV’s move.
Army蜂拥社群媒体，表达他们对VMA的愤怒与失望。
While BTS is nominated for “Best Collaboration,” “Best Art Direction” and “Best Choreography” alongside the new K-pop category, the BTS Army has pointed out that the band is not up for major categories such as “Video of the Year,” “Artist of the Year” and “Best New Artist.” It’s also been brought to attention that the MTV VMAs have used photo centered on Halsey‘s face to represent the “Boy With Luv” collaboration rather than a photo of the group.
虽然BTS入围了“最佳合作”、“最佳艺术指导”、“最佳编舞”，
以及新增的“最佳K-pop”等奖项，
但Army指出，“年度影片”、“年度艺人”、“最佳新人”（？）等传统大奖都漏了BTS，
而且用于显示Boy With Luv入围的照片，也使用了以Halsey为焦点的画面，而非全体照。

第一时间想看看金曲奖有没有类似争议，
不过看起来都满小心政治正确的。
但另一方面来说，
也有部分是因为当初韩国为了宣扬自己国家，
特意强调“K”概念的影响吧？
