Doncic thought he’d be Fox’s teammate in the spring while he was starring
in Europe, on his way to becoming the youngest EuroLeague MVP ever at 19.

“I did, I did,” Doncic said after the game. “Especially because they came
to Madrid, we had dinner, so I did, at some point I did. But it didn’t
happen.”

The Kings, however, didn’t see Doncic as a small forward, rather a point
guard, who would take the ball from Fox.

both were from countries from the former Yugoslavia. Divac is from Serbia and

Still, the Kings bucked the idea of what most assumed would be Divac favoring
a player from Europe and selected Bagley.

“Yeah, I thought about it,” Doncic said. “But they didn’t have a power
forward, a big guy, so it was just a better fit for them.”

Fox:
He is a great player who is playing extremely well for being a 19-year old
rookie,” Fox said. “He looks like a veteran on the court, similar to Bogdan
(last season). They are rookies, but they’re not rookies at the same time.
They played professional all for a while and you can definitely see it. He’s
got room to grow, but he is a great player.”
他是一名正在以19岁菜鸟身份但已经打的非常好的球员，他在场上像一个老将，有点像上
一季的Bogdan，他们都是菜鸟，但同时也不是菜鸟，他们已经打过职业联赛一段时间而你

Doncic也称赞Fox
“He’s amazing,” Doncic said. “The way he plays, the way he handles the
game, he’s just amazing. I admire him.”
