Posting: SHOW 4 –Saturday 24th December @ 10.00 GMT
**Christmas Eve**
Hi everyone – just a few days to go before the big day here in the UK
and other parts of the world. Here’s a simple checklist that’ll help you
get ready for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
- A stocking for all your presents!
- A little sherry and a mince pie for Santa, and some carrots for
the Reindeer.
- Presents all wrapped
- Cards all written
- Food ready to cook, including peeling all those vegetables.
- Christmas tree with all the presents underneath
- Family nearby!
Have a great day and warm wishes from all of us at Cambridge EAP.
Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones.
Hopefully our help will the IELTS writing will be a special early gift for you!
More and more of you are clicking the “thumbs up” button and “Subscribe.
Keep it up! The more support we get, the more broadcasts we’ll do.
Not just covering writing, but also reading, speaking and listening skills
that are looked for by the examiners here in Cambridge.
The more we know about how we’re doing, the more we can change and get better.
This week’s broadcast is focused on writing task 2 and looking at
the first important part of the essay – the introduction.
Going through what to do, what the examiner expects, and also
what to avoid. This means helping you with identifying the parts of
the question you need to respond to, how to structure that answer
and how to provide a smooth link to the body paragraphs.
So, click on the link below:
https://www.youtube.com/cambridgeeap
…and, as we’re doing it live, you can leave a question in the comments
and 2 or 3 of those will be answered in the broadcast.
If you’ve missed any of our other broadcasts then you’ll also find them here.
But wait, there’s more! Materials for the first three shows are here:

http://bit.ly/Live_from_Cambridge_Session_2 - writing task 2 question types and structures
http://bit.ly/Live_from_Cambridge_Session_3 - writing task 1 - time charts and body paragraphs (how to choose and write those all-important features)
This channel is our home, so you’re all invited to come along, put your feet up,
relax, hit the subscribe button, and as soon as the next show is being
broadcast live, you’ll get an email letting you know. How cool is that?
Keep up the good work, don’t let IELTS get you down, and
hope you can all feel a little Christmas warmth and cheer from us
here based in Cambridge!
If there’s anything we can do to help, we always will!
Merry Christmas!
