I’ve just written a new lesson at IELTS in Taiwan. It’s to help you prepare
for sentence-completion questions in the Listening Module. The lesson is calle
d: Sixty Two People Own Most of World’s Wealth.
https://ieltsintaiwan.wordpress.com/2016/01/30/ielts-listening-sentence-comple
tion-sixty-two-people-own-most-of-worlds-wealth/
In this type of question, the question sentence (that you need to complete) su
mmarises important information from either all of the recording or from one pa
rt of it.
First, listen to the recording and then try the questions.
The first few questions simply reword (paraphrase) small parts of the recordin
g (one or two sentences) using synonyms.
Questions 7 to 13 summarize larger parts of the recording.
