CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor degree in chemical engineering/electrical engineering /mechanical
engineering/mechantronical engineering or related major
* Or, University senior or Graduate program first year /
second year students in good academic standing, but must commit to work
full-time for at least 1 year
* Some hands on practical experience on any shopfloor / lab / own enterprise
* "Technical brain"
* English capable
* Curious about the world around us and detailed oriented
* Team player
JOB DESCRIPTION
* Perform systematic product tear down across a wide range of products (E.g.
from computing devices to solar panel, from dishwashers to transformers)
* Document the tear down process clearly according to guidelines and
frameworks
* Perform analysis on material / component / sub-assembly usage
* Collect and estimate necessary data for e.g. material prices, machining /
tooling cost, labor cost
* Assessment and in depth analysis of available tear down reports from other
sources
* Generate design improvement / cost down ideas
* Produce overall report
* Perform on-site cost analysis
* Prepare discussion in debrief customers on tear down exercise findings
This is a FULL TIME contractor position for at least ONE YEAR.
