英国白金汉宫周一（5日）宣布，国王查尔斯三世（King Charles III）被诊断出癌症，这
是上月在伦敦一家医院接受摄护腺肥大手术后发现，不是摄护腺癌，但未披露是哪种型别的
癌症，只表示查尔斯周一起接受定期治疗。医师建议推迟公开活动，但声明中补充：“在此
期间，国王陛下将继续照常处理国家事务和官方文书工作。”
综合CNN、BBC等外媒报导，75岁的查尔斯三世周一早上从诺福克郡桑德灵厄姆（Sandringha
m in Norfolk）返回伦敦，白金汉宫表示，国王已开始接受门诊治疗，他对自己所面对的境
遇，保持完全积极乐观的态度，并期待尽快恢复全面的公共职责。这段时间，预计有其他高
级王室成员在治疗期间帮助替代他。
白金汉宫的声明指出：“国王感谢他的医疗团队迅速干预，这要归功于他最近的医院手术。

During The King’s recent hospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement, a
separate issue of concern was noted. Subsequent diagnostic tests have identified
a form of cancer.
His Majesty has today commenced a schedule of regular treatments, during which t
ime he has been advised by doctors to postpone public-facing duties. Throughout
this period, His Majesty will continue to undertake State business and official
paperwork as usual.
The King is grateful to his medical team for their swift intervention, which was
made possible thanks to his recent hospital procedure. He remains wholly positi
ve about his treatment and looks forward to returning to full public duty as soo
n as possible.
His Majesty has chosen to share his diagnosis to prevent speculation and in the
hope it may assist public understanding for all those around the world who are a
ffected by cancer.
