Instances of apparent community spread of the new coronavirus have been report
ed in Taiwan. Community spread means there have been people in Taiwan who have
been infected with the virus, including some who are not sure how or where th
ey became infected.

Currently, CDC is not advising people to change their travel plans to Taiwan.
Travelers should always avoid contact with sick people and clean their hands o
